A Engrenagem is an authoral instrumental music group, led by young brazilian musicians, engaged on the development of aesthetic concepts between the dialog of music and other artistic languages.
Musically speaking, the group manifests a contemporary alternative behavior, characterized by the mixture between organic and synthetic sounds. In terms of aesthetic, a transformative instinct is notable when recreating sensations inspired by the historical development of many musical genres, and also the impact created by the combination of video-mapping, photography, collage and other types of visual arts.
The premiere work (‘Imaginante’ – 2015) has had many positive reviews by the critics in the year it was released, and went on to win a honorable mention at the Savassi Festival 2015.
2016 was a year marked by the production of a new album, ‘Da Janela’, produced and recorded in Sweden.
In 2017 the group will release their latest album in parallel to the creation of a new thematic show produced by Daniel Santiago.
